MEMBERSHIP
The Toy Library is based on annual membership that starts from the day you sign up for one year.
Below you will find the one-off annual payment for membership depending on which membership option you choose, either a Duty Member or a Non-Duty Member.
To encourage you to stay with us, when renewing your membership you will receive a $10 credit to your toy library account.

Chose your membership option, download this form, fill it in and come in to the library with payment – either cash or pre-paid into our bank account (The Ponsonby Community Toy Library Inc. BNZ. 020 248 0078864 00). Give the librarian Cara all the info and she will make you up a membership card and you can start borrowing toys!
DUTY MEMBER
Our library relies upon the active participation of its members to help our librarian during our three weekly sessions.
As a Duty Member you will be asked to perform a maximum of three 3-hour rostered duties and can choose your preferred duty day – Tuesday, Friday or Saturday.
The duty roster will be emailed to you and if the date doesn’t suit you can arrange to swap your date with another member or pay for a temp to perform your duty.
The temp fee is payable directly to the person who performs your duty. Check out our temp list below.
Becoming a Duty Member allows you to see the broad range of toys that the library offers and to set aside any popular toy that comes in during your session to borrow, as well as meeting fellow members of your community.
NON-DUTY MEMBER
If you prefer having no duties you can choose this membership. The library will pay temps to perform your duties.
TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP
By request we also offer 4 week temporary membership to families or grandparents. We have found families who have just moved to New Zealand and grandparents that have grandchildren staying for a few weeks love this solution! The rate is $40 cash for 4 weeks, with an option to pay a further $40 to extend by another 4 weeks. We also request a $50 cash refundable bond. Please email the librarian Cara from more info.

We offer discounted membership for Community Service Card holders, please see the Membership Prices above.
CURRENT TEMPORARY STAFF
If for any reason, you are unable to do your duty please arrange to swap (yourself) with another member. Or Employ a temp from the list below, and then please advise Cara by return email of any changes. Temps are available at a cost of $60 which is payable in advance to the temp.
